Getting a truggy, need some advice please

The B5 is sweet, I may grab one myself later on. If a buggy can go 12 minutes with a B5 installed, a truggy should go 15 minutes easy! The engine has tons of torque, I'd pick up a 14 tooth CB for a tuning option later on. It can push the extra tooth no problem.
Just remember to preheat that sucker before you run it for the first half gallon at least.
What do you think of the D8T as far as build quality? I have never driven one or seen one up close. 360 bucks from towerhobbies is a damn good price for a new truggy.

Scrogg, the build quality is top notch. Those plastics are borderline way too damn hard. It has taken me quite a while to build because of the hardness of the plastics, however they are not tough to the point that they are brittle. The lower arms are just beefy. Everything is labeled to the point where the screws are different color for left hand or right hand threading. Only problem with this kit was that the new tank leaked by the top. A quick trip to the lhs solved that. I can't wait to hit the track with hit. LHS owner said he will start working on the track tuesday, I volunteered to help for track time. He agreed. I can NOT wait.

Only thing i can see that could use improvement is the brace from the diffs to the chassis. I might get those in alum if the plastic ones fail, i highly doubt they will.

Stick with the plastic unless it is a problem. The chassis flex creates traction. I see so many people killing their handling with king headz al. braces and such. Totally defeats the purpose when you put a al. chassis brace on the newer gen truggies.
The lower arms do look tough, my buddy had the D8 buggy. He was actually sponsored by Hot Bodies now that I think about it. He kept snapping front CVD pins and broke a few shock towers too easily. Those where his only issues. I've seen a ton of other people's D8's run without problems though.
I'm seriously considering a RC8T CE when the tax refund shows up. I have been toying with the idea of the D8T for a while though. The price tag is really attractive!
