hey all... I should know this but I'm having a all day brain fart..
Spur gear and pinion gear on a tmaxx.. stock i beleive is 84 tooth on the
spur and ?? on the pinion? If I want more speed go smaller on the pinion right?

I think stock is 72/20.

More speed, larger pinion or smaller spur.

Changing the pinion has more of an effect, 3:1 ratio, so 1 tooth +/- on the pinion is like 3 -/+ on the spur.

Think of it like a mountainbike gearing system.
Notice how when the front cog (pinion in our case) makes it harder to pedal as it gets bigger. And when the series of cogs on the back(spur) get smaller it also gets harder to pedal?

A Smaller pinion, or a larger spur will give you more top end.
