Gates proposes stamps for e-mail

Yeah I vote Moron honestly. No way in the world am I going to pay 1cent per email to send them nor am I going to do some fiddlesticking puzzle. In essence it's a great way to fight spam but they just need to get tough on the spam junkies. That means that all of the RCNT mailers would cost a hell of a lot and i am full on not for it.

Whatever! Aint the guy rich enough. He take take his email stamps and shove them up his *%@#$

Personally I could use less spam in my mailbox. I must say that the idea of spending a penny seems easier to take than having to spend 10 seconds making sure I really want to send the e-mail. Hell, it's take less time to sort through the dozens of pieces of spam I get a day than 10 seconds because I have a trained eye for finding spam.

However, even if they did opt to charge for e-mail there's still easy ways around e-mail such as this site as an example. I mean how hard would it be for my entire family to set up accounts on this site and when they felt talkative they could drop me a PM and thus bypass having to pay to send e-mails.

I also liked this idea even more. Bust the bastards who are spamming the net with e-mail.
Critics of postage see more promise in other approaches, including technology to better verify e-mail senders and lawsuits to drive the big spammers out of business.

If other F'ing countries actually did something to spammers like we do in this country it wouldn't be such a problem. As of current South America, Asia, and Some parts of Europe couldn't give a rats ass about spammers. Once these countries change their views and only them will the amount of spam decrease.

Besides, making people pay to send e-mail is not going to eliminate the sending of spam. I mean, check your snail mail box and I'll bet you get a decent amount of spam there. I even officially filed a complaint to the Post Office saying that my name never was and never will be RESIDENT. If it doesn't say my specific name then trash it. I have more spam in the passenger floorboard of my truck than I can count from my mail box. Whether I like it or not the post office said that was impossible for them to not deliver mail to my mail box even if it's not in my name.

RCNT Mailers?!?!?

WHAT????

Ummm the notification email's that come when someone has replied to your thread. Just imagine the cost. Since this came up I would almost interested to know just how many notification email's go out on a daily basis here from the site to member's.

Wasteland the WWW was pushed very hard by the clinton administration and yes they do say whether retailers are allowed to charge sales tax or not.
