Well I have yet to drive with it, but just setting up the TX to the Kyosho ST-RR has shown me a lot.
Much, much more precise and responsive, also my digital servos are quiet as can be at idle. When I was using the Spektrum 2.0 and 3.0 they made a LOT of noise finding neutral. You can't even tell the 3PM is on unless you move the throttle or steering. My JR900T steering servo picked up a LOT of speed. So far I am very happy. I just hope it is as reliable as the Speks.
Still wish it was the 3PK but it will do for a while. These days I'm just thankful I can still have this hobby.

First race was a blast, 3 times more responsive and faster than aSpektrum 2 0r 3.0.
I love it. I would have taken the Sportsman class had it not been for a massive engine failure......excuses.:hehe:

Told ya you wouldn't be disappointed Scrogg :)

I had the 3PM and it was a great radio. I've since upgraded to the 3PK which is a great radio x3. The only major differences between the PM and PK are the PK has more advanced options for expert setups, a higher model memory, and getting to the various setup screens is much easier. You'll also get a longer radio runtime on the 3PK but the PM lasts for a long-assed time too.

Which digi's are you running? I LOVE digital servo's. Aside from the Hitec in my RC18 I've never bought an analog servo after my first experience with digitals.

Yeah Scrogg, 'fess up. :)

I'm running a set of JR8711's on the buggy and truggy for steering and a Futaba BLS451 throttle for truggy, JR9100s for buggy. Sweet sweet smooth digital action.

BLS451 seems to be pretty popular these days. I think it was the runner-up servo in RCD's readers choice awards. Pretty decent bang for the buck too.

These days I am running a Hitec 5625 for throttle/brake and a JR9000T for steering. I had retired the JR for being too slow. It picked up a LOT of speed with the new radio.
Hitec Ti. gear servos are my personal favorite, just sold a 5955 a while back. Big mistake.
@ Racer1966, it just so happens my buddy has the 3PM with similar servos. THere is no difference in performance.
The only difference is the steering wheel from the 3PK is on the MX version and the MX has a ton of rock crawler features I'll never use. Brake and 4ws mixing...bunch of crap!
The MX does not come with a rechargeable NiCd Tx battery, I would not use it anyways unless it was a lipo. Alkalines are way more reliable.

I'd like to upgrade my old Spektrum DX3 but can't justify the upgrade cost at the moment for a new radio and 3 new receivers.

If you don't race or compete, stick with the Spektrums. Unless you want the crawler features.....
