I've replaced the fuel line on my maxx 2.5, 3 times now in 2 months. Is this a common problem? I have no idea why the fuel line keeps getting holes in it but it does and as you can imagine it makes my maxx run hot. up to 380 degrees!!!! Also anyone have any ideas for sealing a fuel tank?

You start off saying fuel "lines" and end with sealing a fuel "tank". Which are you having issues with? Tank or lines?

Regardless which it is, where are the holes appearing?

Well the immediate problem i am assuming is with the fuel line,,,, but i am also concerned that the fuel tank has a leak.

You know where the leak is? Silicone will seal a small hole or crack temporarily. A new tank is the only real fix. To find a leak in a fuel tank, leave the lines on it and plug the fuel line end with a screw. Stick it underwater and blow through the pressure line. Look for the bubbles, that's your leak. Fuel tank O-rings go bad from time to time.

Sounds like you may also have an engine leak. Have you sealed the engine at all?

buy a new tank, there cheap, and do you have the fuel line running around the engine head, like traxxas does when its new? because it makes the fuel line hot, and the fuel in the line, thats why traxxas put that yellow heat shield on
and for your engine to be running 380 degrees is crazy, your engine is tuned way too lean!!
buy a new tank and route the fuel line away from the head, and seal your engine up, backplate and carb
