I'm still new to this part of the hobby, had my T-Maxx for about two months now. I am using 10% Traxxas fuel and it seems to me that my T-Maxx runs better with a McCoy-59 plug than it does using the traxxas 3232 plug.

Does lower nitro fuel requires a hotter glow plug?

Yes, you are exactly correct. (A large engine with a low-nitro fuel favors a hotter plug, but with high-nitro fuel a colder plug will work best)

Anybody out there really like a specific 20-25% nitro fuel that tends to run cool? Right now I'm running 20% Trinity Platinum in my Sirio 18 and it tends to run a bit on the hot side.... Suggestions?

Try Blue Thunder 20%. It is about the coolest running 20% nitro I have come across.

You can still run a hotter plug with higher percentage nitro content. Dont forget, the plug can be used to affect the 'timing' of combustion. So if you are running 30% and want to advance your timing, go with a hotter plug :)

Will the advanced timing come at a cost of shorter engine life?

Also, do higher nitro %'s mean higher temps?
