i just swiched my front shock pistons from 2 to 3 when push/pulling the shock i noticed that it it much smoother and slower. what diffrence does it make on the actual track? please explain in detail. also does any one use #3. or am i going the wrong way on the scale (maybe #1 is better)?

I've always used #2's in the front of my gt.

A real stiff suspension like you are talking about is more suited for a very smooth track.

What is the difference betwwen them ??? What do the numbers stand for ???

it is the smallest holed piston that associated sales.

I don't recal the size holes off the top of my head though.

i do know that they are never used in racing though. :D

I'm glad you cleared that up Brandon. I thought he was reffering to a 3 hole vs. 2 hole, in which case the follow-up comment about the travel being slower and stiffer made no sence.

Mr T

lol, nope.

All the stock associated stuff is 2 hole.

I personally used the #2's up front, with silver springs and 35wt AE oil
Out back it's #1's with one of the holes drilled out, green springs and 30

I up the oil weight 5 each and lay the shocks down a little flatter if the track is smooth and grooved.

Otherwise, my shock seutps are always the same. I do toy around with different spaces inside of the shocks and outside the shocks as well though. It's amazing how much better a gt handles with spacing inside the shocks. Kinda like setting the droope on a buggy or MT.

if you make the susp stiffer the truck will be a lot bouncier over the bumps and jumps. it will have tighter handling though (on a smooth track)
