Ok i have this pipe. The tekno wing mount on my revo punished the poor thing in a extra nasty tail landing (or two I'm not sure). Anyway, i decided to try the freezer thing I've heard so much about. SO off to the pics!!

Pipe befor, yea its bad!!

it took me a few trys to find something that will hold. i ended up using a couple of vacume hose caps and some rubberbands, the plastic is to help seal the plug in there. filled it up tot he top with water, and tossed it in the freezer.

i had to freeze it twice, (freeze, uncap and thaw, refull and freeze again..)

but here are the results... i still have a bit to pop out, but ima need a better plug, the water pushed the plug out.

its way better then it started so I'm happy..

fyi the metal on this pipe seems thin, may just be me though.

Be careful not to do it too many times. You might split the pipe.

Never heard of the tip before. Gotta give it a try. Thanx for the pics.

Hey Beason, That is great. Have always heard of that trick, but never used it. I think it worked out very well. Thanks for the pics and info.

the trick is you have to seal it up good. hence the rubber bands. if you dont the water will just push the cork (or whatever you use to plug it, i used rubber vacuum caps) out instead of the metal. it came back to close to strait, just some dings to take care of now. but i dont think I'm gonna push it, as ratzo said, dont want to split the pipe...

I found that if you use the vacuum caps and heavyduty zip-ties around the cap to keep it on,that works great.

Looking good,as long as it is not used too often.Or like a soda can it will go pop.

Some tuned pipes are made of very thin metal ,works good on them. The main issue is it can tear the pipe if it has a major weakness.

My buddy used it a long time ago on his JP-1, and it bent the baffles inside so that they blocked the exhaust coming out of the stinger tip. We just kinda jammed it away from the opening with a screwdriver. It runs ok now, so we're not sure if they really got messed up bad or not from the freezing process futher in the pipe where we couldn't see (since we don't have a new pipe to compare it to).

I used those assorted carb caps and steel hose clamps.....works great and don't slip.....your revo pipe might not be able to use the clamps on the big end, it might crush the flare......
