Not sure if it was an update or what but in the last day and a half my mouse is acting choppy when playing MW or MW2 and not smooth. Could this be a windows update glitch? My OS is 7 and playing the games in the past weren't bad at all. Lately, now, when I am IG and I look around it's choppy. Some times I can look left or right and I either over turn in that direction and I've spun completely around or not enough. Anyone having this problem?
I have checked my anti-virus and even turned it off to see what happens. I'm using an optic mouse so I don't see that could be the problem either.
All signal levels on my modem are good, heck I work for the company, I should know. Pings have been steady in the doubles.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :\

Odd, since you're using an optical mouse. I would suggest either trying to update the driver, or roll it back to an earlier driver, for starters.

If it acts normal with all other applications then i doubt its the mouse. Did you make any other changes to the system or settings in the game? let the task manager run in the background while you play and then win-tab out of it to see if your proc. is pegged. might be something else eating up your proc causing the game to lag.

If the mouse is cordless, I've found that moving its receiver a bit closer also helps.

Thanks for the info guys. I did a system restore for S&Gs. Well it not only removed MW2 but the issue went away. I don't think it was MW2 but windows update. MW2 didn't act up either until my PC did the first reboot then a second one today after doing an update. I wonder what the hell Bill Gates evil spawns are creating to cause things like this? Who knows, but hey, again thanks for the input.

Next time the mouse starts acting weird, open device manager and remove the mouse driver and then restart the machine. Usually that will fix a bad driver.
