Okay, before anyone says "stop fool you don't know what the hell you are doing!" I just want you to know I have already put the first light coat of paint down. I hate to say it but I should go simple but I just can't go out and buy 2-6 lexon shells to try on. Wish me luck as I go further.

Lookin good so far...keep it up and post more pics as you progress ;-)

I'm hoping that I can some how get the front skull close to the sketch I made though it could go south.

I want to make some small fades for shading but I don't have an airbrush. I have thought about brush painting or more like using a small Q-tip dabbing it in like stipple (technique done by pen and ink) Any suggestions would be good though I am sure those with expierence are shaking their heads.

Thanks Moto :D

If you can paint as well as you can draw, the rest of us are going to look like ass!

If you want to do fades w/o an airbrush, there are some things you can try. For example, take a piece of thin cardboard and cut little slots in it the same shape and size of the approximate areas that you want to mist. Then hold it over where they go on the body. Keep it a couple inches off the body and then lightly spray over it. That'll give you a misted look without the real hard edges. The amount of blur will depend on how far you hold it from the body and how heavy you throw the paint at it. Might want to practice a little before throwing it on the body.

Thanks, but I am sure the finished product will be far from making anyone look like ass LMAO. Thanks for the tips on the fades though if you see the shading that's in the drawing you can tell it's going to be tough. Not sure if I'll try some kind of crazy dry brushing type thing or the fade like you were talking about. If I try a spray fade I will have to do several phases. Dark to light... also I want to do the shadowing with green... that is other than black. Darker green to lighter possibly yellow. Giving a decay look.... or a total "looks like a 3rd grader did it" look.

Well, here is the next stage. I can tell this will probably not turn out as good as I wished but oh well. I am having some fun doing it.

The hood I have cut some of the darker areas to fill in. I know this is not the greatest method to do darks to lights or fading as I should do but hell. I am diving in head first knowing there's rocks. :p:

As for the side doors. Not sure, they may turn out better or worse. :hehe:

Damn it man! Don't know WTF was going on there but I had a hell of a time getting those links to work. :\

So far, so good. Keep going the same way that you're going. You're headed in the right direction.
