Does anyone build or sell a kit that when built would be the equal to a Mojave Grom BLX?
I have a hankerin' to build a truck up but don't want to have to figure stuff out. Just build it.
I guess what I'm looking for would be a RTR that comes in a 'build it yourself' kit.
Anyone have any suggestions?

The Slash kit is the only one I know of like that.

There are some LC Racing chassis you could get as a kit and make a SCT out of, but I don't know its size compared to the GROM.
Check out Warren RC or Riptide RC. The truggy or LC12B1 kits are what you would want. They may have an SCT in a kit version, its been awhile since I actually shopped for LC Racing stuff. Great cars for the size and price. I have about 5 different bodies for my one car.

Wow, I could just buy another Mojave and take it apart and put it back together again cheaper than that.
Thanks @WickedFog, I'll keep that in mind though.
Sadly, that's what you have to do to get a kit these days. Except for race stuff, all the RC manufacturers have adopted a RTR only mentality. I said it way back in the 80's - Traxxas RTR was going to ruin the hobby. Then Horizon started buying everybody out and did away with all the kits. Traxxas started it. Horizon finished it. It's a shame.

What I do nowadays, since a lot of what I build are custom - I just buy aftermarket stuff and build from there. With some RC's you can buy every part from the aftermarket. Like the Axial SCX24's for example.

There is also Jenny's RC. A kit breaker that sells broken down RC's as parts. www.jennysrc.com
