Just looking at a pic at work, I think I can add a short, adjustable shock (which I have a bunch of at home) in this spot. Will have to flip the red shock around, but there's no issue with that, I think.

I could also mount the upper end where the cross brace is just in front of that as well if that gives it better travel. In fact, that looks like a better spot just looking at this.

It looks like the spot was left open intentionally for a shock!!! Perfect!!!

Ok, rear shock was pretty easy.

This added a good bit more stiffness, and I have a boatload of springs I could swap in if I want a heavier one, but this was pretty good and seems comparable to what my nitro cars feel in the rear.

Should get some testing in this week

The red shocks with the overflow res, I think are Desert Lizard or the equivalent. The inner blue ones, I have no clue. Something I found on Amazon I think a long time ago for another project and wound up not using them.

I like the red with the res. They look like they belong on the car.

Small update:

I haven't been able to test the changes yet. Dealing with some health issues (gut wrecked from antibiotics). Hopefully getting that sorted soon, think I finally found a competent doc. Felt ok enough this weekend, but of course, storms.

Still have 2 weeks before our next event to get some testing in. Only thing I've been thinking about is making custom wing mounts, or shimming it some, as it's using the same mounts the 1/8th scale body uses, so the wing sits too low to be that effective, and I really think I need the downforce on this car.

Yeah, been on those for over a month, not much progress. It's obvious what it is, but getting it treated is like jumping through a fire hoop, because you know, there's money to be made for my prolonged suffering
