Build Showcase This RC Car Is Controlled Online

I turned an RC car into a real internet-controlled vehicle. In this short, you’ll see how we build a connected RC platform using: Traxxas TRX-4 chassis Mini PC + LTE modem Arduino Nano for hardware control

interesting idea, are you going to post a write up of the entire build process from start to finish eventually?
Hi,
What points are you interested in?

Here you can find how to control Servo (PWM ECS the same, lighting the same) remotely and organise live streaming

Firmware for Arduino Nano is here: http://banalytics.live/source-code/firmware/arduino/modbus-server-pwm-filter.ino

Next steps:
1. Mount components on a chassis (brain and nervous on 0:50, you can use any LTE modem, MiniPC GMKTek G5 N97 or Chuwi Larkbox Pro (but you will need to attach USB hub to plug Camera, Modem & Connect to Arduino)) OS: Windows, Linux(tested with debian 13 & Ubuntu 24. Raspberry not yet, but potentially should work).
2. Plug servos to PWM
3. Plug accumulator
4. Launch!

Ask questions, I will answer.

i often think I'm getting a grasp on this hobby, get comfortable with my knowledge base, (or rather comfortable with my lack of knowledge and knowing that i need help) then something like this comes along and lets me know i know less than nothing lol.
i tried to do this, best i could come up with was to mirror my phone camera to my tv.... this is just amazing I've watched the vid like 10 times lol
I'm sure youve answered already, but I'm posting before i watch all the other vids, whats the range and battery life for it? do you have a second as a recovery vehicle? so if you flip it can you then drive a second truck out and maybe flip the first? or do you gotta go track it down? man a drone with a winch to hook to the frame then fly back to me? rc while i recover my rc lol that would be too much lol
not to be that guy but how much does a setup like that run? not for you with knowledge base and built it for I'm sure much cheaper than it would sell for. but for a layman like myself who needs simple plug and play methods how much would that set me back?

Q: whats the range and battery life for it?

Ans: remote control tested 4000 km
12ah driving mode ~ 8km+
In video surveillance mode I'm not measured, but something is about 8..12 hours

Q: not to be that guy but how much does a setup like that run?

Ans: the cost of all hardware that's on the video ~2..2.5k. (Trx-4 ~700, gmktec 180, Arduino ~10$, AR 700, gamepads ~500, power cells ~100)
About firmware it's another song ~7000h of the work.

Q: not for you with knowledge base and built it for I'm sure much cheaper than it would sell for. but for a layman like myself who needs simple plug and play methods how much would that set me back?

Ans: if you wants to build the same - ping me via contact form on the site. I'll help you to build the same, you need to buy hardware only. I'm owner & architect of the distributed SCADA platform that control this car. No difference what chassis will you use, the main - need the space to mount components & protection from the water.
