Yes, i am a noob. I need help because for some reason my boyfriends EZstarter's motor light wont light up. Now we actually just recently went through TWO dud EZstarters. But any ideas what might be wrong?

neither lights light up? check the ground on the motor?

The yellow ground wire is for the glow plug. Check to make sure your battery is making a good connection where it plugs into the wand. Make sure the battery is fully charged. If your still having problems, the wand is probably at fault. Though it may be the ez start motor as well. The ez start wand won't take a whole lot of abuse. If you have to crank it for more than 3-5 seconds to start the truck, there's a problem with fuel delivery or an air leak somewhere.

i dont pay any attention to the lights on the ez-start. just toss the bat and hook the hand wand to your street truck. of corse this is good only if you can get your street truck close to the bashing spot.

One of my buddies does the same thing, sort of. He uses a dry cell 12 volt battery. I DO NOT recommend this, but for the last 6 months, he has had nothing go up in smoke. Yet. Get a quality, 3000mah+ battery for the wand and use a separate ignitor to heat the plug. This is what works best in my experience.
