This is crazy! I just bought a nitro rc from a company called Exceed-RC from amazon, good reviews. I followed the break in procedure to a T, but had no luck so took it to Hobbytown USA, guy seemed pretty knowledgeable. He just called me and sad the engine, metal spur gear, metal clutch bell, pilot shaft, and flywheel are all shot! Now I'm trying to get ahold of this company, but they don't seem to exist! They have a crappy website (www.exceedrc.com, but no customer service number or email address to get ahold of them. On papers I got with car, there are no numbers or adresses of this company. I googled "customer service number for exceed rc" and only number that came back is 1(626)369-2301. Called it, and says number is disconnected! Now that I'm reading more and more stuff on google about this company, it seems their customer service isn't very good. However, I just want to start with knowing how to contact them! Has anyone else delt with this company and know how to reach them? Please Help!!

Thanks

Yes my first rc was a exceed. Thats what I meant in your other post about ditching the car. There support is crap and there product is junk. Sorry man I feel your pain. I to made the same mistake. I ended up selling mine on ebay for like $50 and buying a traxxas. Another issue you will run into is your local hobby shop carries no parts for this brand. I learned the hard way to buy a rc that your lhs carries parts for. Dont get discouraged yet you may have to spend a few more hundred dollars but you will find one thats better. Little hint stay away from pre owned rc cars unless its a roller for a good price. Most people unless on here will buy one totally screw the engine up and try to sell it to recoupe some cost. Once again another mistake I made. Now I have bought used rc cars that needed the electronics and engine and came out very well on the deal. I use the spectrum tx rx system so I can use my same remote with all my cars just add a spectrum reciever and your ready to go. Hope this helps

Yeah, I think I will take your advice and buy something from Hobby Town since it is only 15 minutes from me. However, I would still like to try to get reimbursed from Exceed for the car even if it's not a full reimbursement, I will take what I can get at this point. Do you remember how you got ahold of Exceed in your dealings with them?

Thanks

All right, Thank-you. I can't stand crappy companies like that. This day in age, you have to have good customer service to stay in bussiness. They probably won't be around much longer.

Sadly, a lot of guys have gotten into RC by getting in cheap and losing interest. A little bit of research would have saved you the headaches you're dealing with now.
Ask away here for anything you want to know before you buy. Even the upgrades and add-ons. We're here to KEEP you in the hobby with a LOT of collective experience.
What's important is support, both from the manufacturer and your local shop.

Don't be ridiculous. We had to MAKE stones square. We'd find round ones in the stream.

And making square wheels means chipping stone and that raises dust which explains the endless need for polishing and waxing the collection, Right?

Polishing pumice from active volcanoes, bees wax and a piece of Pterodactyl wing as a chamois and we were good to go.

Now we know why the pterodactyl went extinct......Rolex and all his AWESOME polishing..................
