i just ordered myself the evo x kit for my mini t. i was just wondering if anyone has ever installed one of these on a mini t or RC 18. just wanted to see how hard it would be and how good the quality is

another thing i ordered is a bearing kit that is coming with 8 bearings. but i have seen some kits that have 15 bearings.

just wondering if i should buy some more bearings or will i be good with the 8 i got for the wheels? or should i get a full set

The wheel bearings you do need, so you're fine there. I think the rest of the bearings are for the gearbox. It's a simple mod that will make a world of difference.

yeah your the one that talked me into getting the bearings. after i bought the 8 bearing kit than i saw another one that had the 15. so i was just looking to upgraded the bearings where there were none. so i should be alright!

thanks for the tip man!

No problem, I had some trouble pressing in my front wheel bearings so I had to use a t-wrench on the smaller side to press the bearings in but be sure you press them in all the way. I lucked out on one Mini-T and didn't have to shim the rear axle, but don't be surprised if you end up having to shim it if you tighten it down and your back wheels don't spin as freely as before.

My lhs looked at me confused when I asked for axle shims, so you may have to look for them online or just find some at the hardware store.

I'm kinda confused by this. so when i get the bearing in the mail tomorrow after i get them in and they dont spin freely you will probably get a PM from me on what your talking about. hope they work without having to get to complicated with shims and all.

thanks again
