Like where do you live? Seriously, it's got to be military jets ... Don't tell me if you have to kill me though.

There are rules about sonic booms and populated areas, which mostly don't apply to military aircraft, but my understanding is they "try to comply" with FAA rules for civil aircraft. You might be able to contact the base and ask them to chill out.

I've seen it on YT. The shock wave is amazing, but it's not the same as seeing, hearing, feeling it live.

I remember this big boom very well. Sad day for NASA and the beginning of their replacement with private sector.

My art teacher in high school was one of the teachers training for the Challenger mission. We watched the launch with him. I still remember the look on his face when it blew up.
