I have a MMP hooked up to a 2100kv ThunderPower motor in my buggy running on 4s. When I would give it full throttle it would give me half throttle for about two seconds then the car would stop. Every now and then it would come alive and I had full power but only for a matter of 5 seconds then it would go back to running the way it was before. I had 4 guys at my track try to figure out what in the world was wrong with it, we switched the motor wires and everything but still nothing.

I don't have a Castle Link, but I think that could solve my problem? I dunno...

It sounds like you either have a bad connection to your battery or there is an internal electrical problem with the esc. I've had problems like that with the velineon and there was no solution other than replacement. I hope it is still under warranty. It doesn't sound like programming error. I reread the castle manual and nothing really covered that exact malfunction. I wish you luck.

What batteries are you using? What does it do if you hold it off the ground and give it full throttle?

Two gensacearespammers 2s 5000mah 40c lipos and last race I ran a Gens and a Turnigy.

When I held it off the ground and gave it full throttle it only gave me about half throttle for a few seconds then stopped even though I still had the radio at full throttle the whole time.

Trip, it's brand spankin' new. I have the receipt and everything

Call Castle, it's under warranty.

If your batteries have a solid connection I think your system is not properly set up yet " because you have power going to wheel''s just not FULL CAP yet ".. Are you sure your electronic's are setup for 4c lipo & or Low voltage det might be kicking in as well. I check all that stuff 1st & if your still having issues call castle support

I dont know if it would be to your liking, but a mamba monster 2200kv in the slash is so powerful its truly amazing. I havent tried the max pro combo you refer to yet but I can only assume its powerful. The aspect I like about the monster is high gearing and speed with no overheating. What speeds have you been able to get out of it?

When I got full power out of the car for short periods of time like on the straightaway it was almost too fast! I have not ran it on the street yet so I couldn't even give you an estimate of the speed, sorry.

The 2200kv in a slash is to much for a track.

Did your LHS charge you to upgrade the firmware in your ESC? If they did you could have spent $20 bucks and bought a castle link and done it yourself and then youd be able to keep it up to date as well.

They didn't charge me a penny. I have a coupon for a free Castle Link in the box the esc came in, I need to go use it soon.
