Since you already have wires on there, you will need to get them off.

Simply put the soldering tip onto the soldered wire end while lightly pulling up on it. The wire will come right off once the solder starts to melt.

Wear safety glasses since the solder may splatter when the wire comes off.

Forgot to mention that you need to use the wide flat surface of the iron tip so you get maximum surface area to melt the solder all at once.

Nice to have you back my friend. I hear you have an E-Revo as well! You and Rob will have to share your on road setups. I just got finished installing the Tekno swaybar kit, Traxxas Tubes, and Ofna 17mm Hubs. I am waiting on the spacers to come in so that I can change the pushrods out as well. I hope to work out the battery wiring out this weekend so that I can drive this thing outside... so far I have had some short speed runs in the living room! LOL

Man what a fun truck!! I was finally able to get everything that I needed to fixed, added, or adjusted today so I was able to hook everything up and take it for a spin. WOW!! With the Tekno swaybar kit and the silver bars... it handles on rails. I like the way I can go into a turn hot... if you let off the throttle going into the turn, the left rear or right rear, depending on which way you are going.... but if you hit the throttle... she settles right now and rocks on. I bet with some road rage tires this thing is bad ass! I can't wait for the packs to cool down so that I can charge them again!

Ping spring in front with 60wt oil.

Thank you my friend.... I posted earlier today with a few pics after I finally got to run this truck.... and I was cruising around the driveway on rails! The rear wheel would come off the ground off throttle into the turns, but as soon as I got back in.. it settled right back down. What a ride!!!

Thank you for the setup info... I will need to order some new springs and some new shock oil. You are running road rage Maxx size tires and wheels correct? Thanks man.

you guys are killing me and my wallet. after following and reading this thread for the past week i orders an E-revo. it should be here in about a week!!

now i just need to figure out the battery options. I'm leaning towards making the jump to Lipo. Do you guys have any suggestions? I was thinking the 6000mah 7.4v Maxamps packs that come in the e-revo package they offer. is this worth the 550 bucks?

If you have the equipment to properly charge and maintain the Lipo's I say go for it. I am running two 4600 7cell NiMh packs in mine and it is a screamer. It really is a dream to drive and other than the stock suspension setup being just a tad on the soft side... it is a really, nice truck. You won't regret the purchase my friend!

If you are also looking to buy a quality charger, then yes it is a decent deal for the package.

Some Hyperion chargers are capable to run of both AC and DC. That one does not say so you may need a power supply if you don't already have one.

as for the charger/battery issue, i already have a dynamite charger (can't remember the name, but its the one that does charge lipo) but i'm just not sure about it. does anyone know if it will auto shut down if the batteries get too hot? the main reason i have not jumped to lipo already is the fear of them bursting into flames. does the flame sack really offer that much protection?

sorry for the all newb questions. i just want to get this done right the first time...

i do not have a power supply so i'll need to research those. I know maxamps sells an OFNA one, is that any good or should i hit up the local radio shack?

I have been using a Radio Shack 25amp supply without any issues. It is less expensive than the OFNA one Maxamps has.

Honestly, as long as your a smart about charging lipos and use a quality charger, having an issue with them during charging will be a non issue.

Hell, most of the time I charge my lipos while they are still mounted in my rigs. I only use a lips sack for storage to keep them in one place when they are not in the rigs.

Almost forgot, congrats on the EREVO purchase. You will not be disappointed.
