question for those that have pull start engines.
when you keep starting your car up do you get blisters over your hands?
thanks guys.

cheers thats newbie qualtiy posting for you there.

Yes, you get blisters. May want to find some thin gloves or wrap a couple pieces of surgical tape around those areas of your fingers if you want to try to stop them.

I don't know why but have never gotten a blister from pullstarters. I've my share of stubborn engines but I've never had a blister because of them...

AC48 I don't know why but have never gotten a blister from pullstarters. I've my share of stubborn engines but I've never had a blister because of them...

Have u tried pull starting a .46 or bigger

quit yur whinin like a litel girlie man....you just need to go work w/ your hands more...eventually you won't get blisters anymore....

I pull start my HPI K4.6 a .28 all the time, no probs...also done a XTM 24.7, HPI S-25...my Wasp .28 probably would have left some blisters, that thing has soooo high compression. Its on roto start now though.

I'm with AC...No blisters here.....Although I have never had a big block with pullstart.

Manly Men don't get blisters....Ehh AC?

If you prime it and tune it correctly, a pull-start should crank up in no more than 3-10 pulls. If it doesn't you're doing something wrong. (No blisters so far. :D )

If you are worried about blisters, you can always get a starter box or roto start conversion for it. :violin:

I get blisters from the hobby, but not from pull starts. It happens like this........
First, I spend too much on my buggy. Then the wife cuts me off.

That's when the blisters start.

I pull start my s-25 and it takes 25-50 pulls to get going no blisters. I hate the damn engine. My collari will be here this week...

How is the mach .26 as a pullstart??
I was thinking of getting one for the mGT after a while.
