I'm trying to get my Nova running, it starts and idles well but when I hit the throttle it goes, but if I do this a second time it stutters and loses power, it's at factory settings, any help would be great, it is fairly new maybe 9 tanks

I'll second that Rolex!

Tuning nitro after break in is important to get the best from the engine within given parameters.

If you don't have one, invest in a temp gun. Generally low cost but an absolutely irreplaceable tool for running nitro.

Agreed with all of the above, factory settings are usually even too rich for a proper break in!

I'm with everyone else, after break in the stock tuning is obscenely rich- so much so that you can't run it at all. They do this so that during the break in the engine, due to its tightness, it isn't damaged. To fix this follow the link to a flowchart Rolex just gave, its brilliant.

can I mention the temp gun I use now?:hehe:
Oh, okay, go ahead. Just make sure you also let him know that the temp gun is the LAST tool in the tuneup arsenal. Tuning is all about sound, smoke and performance. At the very end you can check your settings with the temp gun to make sure that it's not too lean. I've seen these things run flat out from a cold start, only because the LSN is too lean. That will kill an engine in a very short time.
You might also get a good temp read with poor performance. The HSN and the LSN need to be set accordingly BEFORE the temp gun comes out. When it's running great you'll also want to check the temp after a good run to make sure that it's still good.
