After i ture my engine, and it is running as smooth as can be it starts making a humming noise like the rpm's r way high, the engine slowly loses power and after a while it shuts off. I know it's not the throttle trim because it's as low as can go and i know that the servo is set good 2, any sugestions? it can't be the engine, i neaver even jumped the car yet or rolled it over i spent a little over a quart trying to get it 2 run right.

What engine, vehicle, fuel? Also, do you have a temp gun? What are the temps when it's running and immediatly after it dies?

It sounds like it's leaning out on you. Normally, when you can't get the engine to idle down, you either have an air leak, the needles are set to lean, you have a dirty fuel filter or a pinched fuel line.

there r air bubbes in the fuel line, i think there is a leak in them, i'll just buy new line $1 per foot @ lhs, i want red fuel line anyway. that's probubly why it's so lean.

the engine is the savage 25 rtr stock engine, the fuel is HIP's Power Fuel, and the vehicle is obviously the savage 25 rtr. and vbgagnon, what's flaming out?, i've neaver heard of that.

flaming out is so hot that the engine can't stay running. it sounds to me like you have an air leak somewhere. could be the lines, or the fuel tank, or the engine itself. the most common leak I've found has been backplates on the engine. you have to remove your rotostart to get to it.

i went 2 start my engine and it wouldn't, it was the glow plug, got a new one and the noise went away, thanx for the help

Also check the heatsink head bolts if they are loose that may cause your motor to lean out,& check your manifold bolts to.

I wouldnt just change the plug. It sounds like your plug died because it is lean. What colour was the element when you pulled it out?

yep running lean will sure burn the plug out...i wonder if the ..45 is from the geniess or was it a .46

i found out the problem, it was that two of the screws that screwed the head to the head gasket were stripped and there was an airleak because i couldn't get them tight enough. And the element was light grey like as if someone had put it in hot coals for an hour or 2. and the engine in the lhs was the truckzilla conversion .46 engine and longer chasis and i think it came with tires. well anyways, after i changed the bolts and got them really tight, the truck shifts quickly and has more top end speed, the airleaks sure effect the engine performance! I didn't know savages were that fast. and how do i get it 2 say something else under my name other than RCNT newbie?
