Am new to this world so bare with me folks for as my lingo and terminology is not up to par. anyways I am running a force 28R/abc/rs it replacing a wasp.26 which the previous owner swapped in from a hpi.21. long story short he told me engine temp should be bout 250f. he then showed me with a micro temp gun where exactly on the engine he takes the temp, which happens to be in the center of the head where the glow plug is. so i went out bought myself the micro gun and kept eyes on temp as he said and with medium plug 20% nitro i was running 235 to 260 temp very reasonable rite? well i went out an replaced it with the .28 and did proper break in both out and in truk with factory settings on mnv and the lsv and with a medium plug on both break in sessions. i had a temp of 235 out of truk and in truk she run 260 since then i richened the mnv to help it cool down but can't get it to run any cooler then 320f. i can let it sit at hi idle in cradle for half tank fuel and she heats up to bout 210 but when i put on ground and drive it i go for 5 mins or so check temp and it rite up to bout the 320 mark truk runs great top end no prob and she will run like that through full tank fuel(125cc). am just curious is putting temp gun down center of head the best place to take running engine temp? sorry story so long.... any suggestions or opinions are very welcome. TY very much for your time

If it does that with the HSN (High speed needle) and the LSN (Low Speed Needle) both set to factory settings then I would check my engine/fuel tank/fuel lines etc for air leaks and then seal my engine and repalce anything else if it has an air leak.

If it's hitting 320 you need to richen it up, plain and simple. Make sure you let it warm up before making any further adjustments, engines will lean out as they warm up. I've seen a lot of people make the mistake of tuning for performance before their engine is warmed up properly.
