engine revs after brakes

hi all, everyone has been fantastic with the help that I have been given, after another few tanks through, thats 5 now, after braking, the engine revs slightly, is this normal? also, for what reason would the throttle stick open, as this caused my nice new buggy to go flying into a tree!!!!!! not so good, should the slide carb go back to its idle point by its self on a spring or something as after the crash mine is staying out and only returns due to the servo, many thanks

can you explain a bit more please as i am completely new to this and don't know really any specific names of parts, i know carb and main things but nothing specific, thanks

There should be a spring somewhere on the linkages that puts tension on the throttle arm as it is pulled out, so that if the servo ever gets disconnected for whatever reason, the throttle will automatically return to idle.

yeah, just looked and this is there, think the servo is not so good as the arm has twisted round, this may have been the cause for this throttle fully open, does not bode well for my nice gentle engine break in, i have fixed all of that now but for whatever reason the engine still revs slightly when i let go of the brakes

If it still revs despite fixing the linkage issue, the LSN is probably too lean. Try richening it 1/8th turn until it stops (up to 1/2 turn) and if that doesn't help then you may have an air leak.

at full break turn you idle up a 1/8 turn. sound like when your hiting the gas and then full brake its to closed and leans it out and revs. turn the idle just a bit see if that helps at all

You sure you have your linkage figured out? When you apply brakes, then let off to "neutral", the throttle slide should not move at all at the engine. If it moves even a hair, it will kick your idle up. May need to adjust your trim on the radio or your linkage. At "neutral", there should always be a bit of positive pressure on the carb linkage pushing the slide in the carb. Not a lot, but enough to know that it's resting against the idle screw inside the carb.

it could be the back pressure created in the fuel line that causes your engine to rev, the throttle will be returned to neutral when you let go of the gas but there is still pressure in the line that was created when the rpms were up forcing fuel into the carb Team Orion Has some thing thats supposed to fix it look in the nitro accesories on thier web site
