Engine/parts, lube/protectant

Good afternoon fellow RC'ers.

I was just handed a bottle of 3M 5-way Plus. It is listed as a Penetrant, but then 5 points are below: Lubricates, Loosens rusted parts, protects metal, stops squeaks, demoisturizes. It's a Promotional item at my workplace (fasteners and tools), but I instantly thought RC!

I just wanted to know, is this stuff good for after-run, or perhaps loosening an engine that's been sitting around for a couple years? Anyone have other suggestions for uses for this stuff too?

It might be harsh on the rubber o-rings and your front bearing seal.

I use marvel mystery oil with automatic trans fluid at a 50/50 mix.

I was just thinkin the same thing; the rust breaker component of the oil might actually eat away at the internals. I'd stick to what Olds said; it's cheap, and you can make a years supply for about $10.
