Engine I.D.

OS is a manufacturer that makes great engines. .18 is the size of the engine, in this case .18 cubic inches which is a small block engine. Whether its old or new depends on the letters that come after the .18. For example I have a few OS engines. One of them is .21 and the other is a .18. Now my OS .21 TM is a newer engine and is still being produced but my OS .18 CV-R is an older discontinued model. Its still a great engine they just dont make it anymore. Hope this helps :)

Thank you sir. I seen this rod on e bay and it was real neat lookin( all polished the way I use to do my small block rods when I was a circle dirt racer) and was hoping it would fit one of mine but it won't. Again Thanks an you can tell I'm a neebee at this but I'm havin a ball with the grand kids.

And that Geno, is what it is all about my good man! Yes OS is a really good brand of engine. I have had several OS .18s, I have had the TM, CR-V and TZ. Show us a picture of it and i am sure we could help you find parts for it.

yeah the OS .18CV-R is discontinued but theres still parts floating around for it. And having fun is the only thing that matters....experience is not a requirement of the hobby its simply a by-product of having fun with this hobby! :)

I'm making that my new sig :)
