Engine for a hydroplane

I'm in the process of building a 1/8 scale hydro plane and was wondering what engine to put in it. should i go with nitro or gas? and what nitro engine are out there now that are 11cc. or would i be able to go with two 5cc engine or so.

go gas. imo a nicely built Zen 260pum is a great motor. can be had from 300.00 to 800 for a nutted out one.

the only thing about going gas it that the boat needs 11cc and the smallest gas engines i know of are 21cc and above.

ah, didtn take that into account. i think you ll be fine to go up in size a bit, but form 11 to 25 is a big jump. hmmm.
