I have a thread about tuning issues with my 1/16 scale nitro and now my electrics are playing up...

Basically I crashed my car and broke where the steering servo screws to the car. I just bought a new servo and since then both servos are not right.

80% of the time there fine but about every 5-10 mins the throttle servo opens up fully and the steering servo turns left fully and they get stuck there untill I turn the car off and on again. Nothing to do with battery or range.. Just seems completely random. The failsafe does nothing when it happens.

Please help!

It could be a loose crystal or a short in a wire in the RX as Matt suggested or it could be a bad RX. First try to remove and re-seat the crystal. if that doesn't fix the problem, your best bet is to replace the RX.

Ok fiddled with the crystals and borrowed a friends reciever box and still have the same problems...

I have discovered that I turn the electrics on I can move the throttle all day long and no issues. I can also move the steering forward and back about half way each side no worries. However as soon as I turn left/right all the way it gets jammed there and the trottle randomly opens fully aswell.

Thanks for any help

Back off the steering end point or dual rate knob. When a servo is traveling further than it's mechanical linkage allows it can cause severe glitching and fry a servo. I've seen the same problem, get the servos and linkages all centered, then set the servo's travel to match the cars steering throw.
Have you tried setting it up without the failsafe? Sometimes they can cause more trouble than they are worth.

Yes I took the failsafe out. So how do I adjust the endpoint. My friends savage has it on the radio controller but mine does not.

Thank you for your help
