I have I guess and old truck. Parts are not made. I feel though there should be interchangable gears for this. My spur gear got stripped out from running 3S. Now finding one is difficult. The 2wd has parts would t those work? What advice is out there that I havent thought of?

Not familiar with that vehicle, but if you post up pics of the gear and assembly, maybe you could get an answer easier. I have a few spurs laying around, and I am sure other do here too. Maybe someone has one of similar dimensions that you could find easier.

Just doing some searching... is this an ECX Torment 1/10 or 1/18, or an Electrix Tourment 1/18?

https://www.smalladdictionsrc.com has lots of ECX parts. They have a FB page and are quick to respond to messages. Or you might try calling them. Great folks!

@WickedFog. Thanks for the ideas. I plan on a disassemble today. To answer your last question it is a 1/10 scale truck. I did also find a HS in Canada with it in stock. I am always looking to adapt something else for easier replacement. @Greywolf74 your idea has me thinking this gear idea will help keep me going on this truck. My LHS has this part on hand. I probably know this. Should I match a new pinon to the spur as well? To keep pitch and wear consistent?

So this is an ECX Torment we are talking about? And not the Tourment as the title says? Normally a typo is no big deal to work around. But in this case, the typo adds a lot of confusion when searching for parts, if it is indeed a typo.

Your pinion should outlive hundreds of plastic spur gears. But if it looks worn, grab another. They are cheap.

What about this?

Gear is chewed up good. I am thinking that metal gear you showed me @WickedFog. Will be the replacement that I go with.
It has the same number of teeth as yours. Hopefully that will work out for you. You might give that place a call if they have a number. I have never dealt with them.

Well buddy, upon further investigation, they may not be a very reliable seller. Check out their reviews and decide...

That is the correct HR part number for your truck though, according to Hot Racing's site. There are a lot of links overseas that I did not check. You may be able to find it in EU somewhere.

I know where there company is. I used to live in that area. I think they take to many smoke breaks, puff puff pass. Real heavy in that area. I am going to give it a try. I can be patient.

Well, if nothing else you can drive over there and harrass them ;)

Good luck!!!

You always have to keep gear pitch the same between pinion and spur but you dont have to replace them in pairs.
But take note at the bottom of the page, and @Greywolf74 will appreciate this...

Pretty funny. A steel spur gear will cause cancer!
See! This is why I keep telling people that they shouldnt use steel spur gears! 💀

How does that entire assembly come apart? Can you get accurate measurements, such as diameter of the center hole? The reason i ask is because that looks a lot like the Arrma 2WD fury/Raider/Granite. 32P spur, which is available from quite a few places cheap, and is very durable. If it is the same diameter in the center, the Racers Edge Pro 2/Team C TS2 spur also would work. I'm not a big fan of metal spurs. This is the Fury gear: https://www.amainhobbies.com/arrma-...TPa-DvjnW7t2Xed89O_m926D7Tt4UNQBoCTGkQAvD_BwE You would also need the slipper pads to match that gear.
