What fan is good to replace the one in the esc? I bought a protec to replace it but it doesn’t connect to the esc. When connected to the receiver it sounds like it’s constantly on high speed and after like 10 min i something burnt. Shut it off right away.
What is a good fan to put on a castle motor?

So much to learn. Thanks for all the input.

Both Avid and Surpass sell good fans.
You'll need to know the size of the fan you're replacing and then a working voltage range. As long as the voltage is ok, you shouldn't be getting heat or anything burnt.
Are you positive nothing was overtightened or contacting the blades? No binding that caused a problem somehow?
You might need to swap the connector or buy an adapter to plug in.
My Avid fan came with 2 different connector types and an extension.

I will look more into what fan this esc takes. I went on a whim and took someone’s advice but I don’t think I told him that I had a Traxxas 6s esc. Thank you for your help
