I would like to buy an E-revo But i would like to know what battiers and that sort of thing to get the most out of it so i dont have to go back and get some thing else! i would like it to do about 50 to 60mph any one have any idea's

The 1/16th Revo VXl right out of the box is pretty quick, but using 2 Traxxas batteries (not LiPo) with the optional connector, and pinion gear change, you can get 50 out of it easily. Or if you want run time, get the same two batteries and the other optional connector. I have the vxl and like the longer run time versus the speed (either way has more than enough torque to do most anything you want). I did buy both y-connectors so I could try it either way.

I run 3s 1600 Turnigy packs on mine, its a tight fit but it will fit and then its just stupid fast.

Is pretty much stupid fast to begin with. i had to work my way up just so i could learn how to control it. These lttle things are sick! (An I'm still not runnung lipo)

i ran mine on 4s (2-2s in series) for about 3 days and the thing was an absolute animal, till i blew the front diff out

A single 2s LiPo 1500 mAh battery is stupid fast in this truck. I think the most that Traxxas recommends in this is 2 of those LiPos in series (14.8v or 4s) with an optional series y-connector.

yeah you are correct.. .it can't handle the 22.2v that 6s puts out and that is right from the mouth of a traxxas agent

lol, thanks for finding the weak spot in the vxl Revo for us! Almost as good as a "read" for a putt!

So far, I have not gone to LiPo for my vxl, but with the two traxxas battery packs installed with the y-connector, it screams. If you are looking for outright speed on the street, this or LiPo will get you there.

For dirt, though, it really just likes the other connector for power and long run times. No need to do 50 on a dirt track.

I think running 3s on dirt is better, you can easily feather the throttle around corners and keep the wheels spinning the entire time, more of a drift action than a turn, works better for me personally.

yeah 3s is the way to go. . .and since you actually kinda have to run 2 them in parallel(if you want 2 of them) you will get some crazy run times and still have a :dancingpoop:ton of power

How much run time can you get in that set up?

i honestly can't answer that question because i have never tried it, i use my 2s in series and as long as i am not constantly beating the daylights out of it, i can get close to a half hour of run time(usually in the neighborhood of 25-30 minutes). But alot of that is just puttin around, i take it for walks with me kinda like an electronic dog if you will, but i'll do a high speed pass and then "walk" it in front of me when i'm going to get the mail or something.
