i can't afford brushless but was wondering what motors will my stock evx esc handle(its the 14.4volt older system) links please??

thanks guys
bob

You can get on flea bay and do a serch for 19 turn motors. Trinity are excellent motors. You will be able to put some new motors on for a very inexpensive price.

that loosk good and all i need is two motors correct??

what about trintuty reverence bat packs any good??

what diff will batteries make??

Yes two new matched motors, and the higher the mah pack the better like a pair 5000mah venom nimh packs would be good and give you lots of run time....

ok so two new motors at 39 a piece this method looks much better then the brushless

does the Mah of batteries only effect run time and are NImh or NIcd better?

Stay away from NiCd. They discharge at a big angle, so half way through the battery you will be getting half power (approximately) Nimh do a lot better about discharging in a straighter line, meaning you get almost the same power from a fresh charge until right before it goes dead. The best deal that I've found on batteries is Venom 3300 for 20 bucks a piece on ebay. I have 4 of the Venom 5000 mah, which is the biggest you can get in a 6 pack that I know of. I gave about 45 on ebay for them, which isn't bad considering they're 80 at the hobby shops. The mah only effects run time.

well i wont be doing much upgrades since my esc just went t.u so what can i do for reasonbable to replace it?

Man I just looked up some of the E-Maxx ESC's. Looks like you might be better off spending the money to go brushless, because I think it will cost the same as if you buy the ESC's that I've been looking at and go the brushed route.

what escs u looking at?? I'm thinking just the new 16.8v one but will it run on 14.4v??

there a nib box one on fleabay for 20 bucks bidding with 2 days i am watching it closely

and with that link

the guy has 74 positiave feedback I'm sure hes an ok seller

http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...37&satitle=Traxxas+EVX-2+Waterproof+16.8v+esc here is a link to a few more EVX-2 esc, but honestly is you can swing a little extra I would go with something like a Novak HV 6.5 brushless system, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBLB8&P=FR there is virtuly no maintenace, less wheight, way more power, and longer run times, with brushed motors you will need to clean your motors with electric motor spray on a regular basis, replace worn out brushes, and have your comutator trued every time you replace the brushes to maintain max performance if you go with the Trinity motors, if you stick with the stock motors you just clean them with electric motor spray and buy new ones when they ware out.

the 270.00 bucks just aint feesable at all i mean the esc brand new is only 115.00 and the motors are 40 a piece but i can do it in stages

On ebay those ESC's were going new for 80 to 100 bucks, so you'll save a lil money right there. I've been seeing some novak hv maxx systems go on ebay used but in good condition for around 160-180, so keep your eyes open for a good deal either way.
