I called dynamite on the phone to ask if the little braces that go on the skid plate and on the bumpers were available for purchase instead of having to buy a new skid plate set-up. The was a #%, and very cocky to. From what I gathered they do not even make them , they just stick there name on there. He told me it was impossible to break the mounting brace on the skid plate unless I smashed something really hard (duhhh). But my skid plate is not bent in any way shape or form, and that little weak but adapter that bolts to the front or rear bumper has broke on every one I own. I have bought atleast $300 in skid plates and bumpers from dynamite and all the products that I bought are useless now without the aluminum adapter that screws on each of them. Now I would call that a crock of $%#$, and the guy had the nerve to tell me not to be so rough on them, that I should learn how to land on the wheels. Guess he walks the straight and narrow and definatley seemed like a company man. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DYNAMITE EVER AGAIN, unless the find a solution to the problem. How hard would it be to sell those little braces that go on the skid and bumper individually. Maybe like $10 or something. He said it was impossible for him to get his hands on those little pieces to sell me wich tells me they do not make them, they buy from another and sell to the public. Their are alot of people having this problem with their product and almoast everyone I know at the tracks that I go to said that it's time to find another company that sells better stuff and takes better care of it's high paying customers. Just though I would let everyone know to be very careful with their DYNAMITE products as they will not help you in any way, you'll just have to buy a completely brand new skid plate or bumper for $50 each cause they don't want to sell or send off these little aluminum peices. \

Sorry, had to vent!! BUT I swear on my Grandmothers grave that I will never buy another product from them or speak positivley of them ever again. We can't let these big companies rip of the little man. I'm 30 and can afford it, but what about all the little gromets with savages, can they???? Gota look out for da kids.

Wow that sucks sorry to hear of your troubles. Call Horizon hobby and I bet the will help you. I always had great luck with all Horizon brands and great support. I was always satified when I walked away. Customer Service 1-800-338-4639

I am also sorry to hear that! I have alot of Dynamite parts and damn happy with all of them ,never had a problem with any one at Horizon(brands) either! It may have just been a bad timing thing!

I think not buying frmo them again is a little extreme. Dynamite makes some good parts. Maybe you just called the wrong arsehole at the wrong time and he sucked at at life. Try another representitive. Sometimes I call companies and one guy will tell me no they dont have have it or dont make it maybe because he is trying to get off early or something or doesn't wanna waist his time so I always call back a second time to get a new rep. and the will usually tell me they have or do make it and I get my parts and then call someone I can talk to about the previous arsehole.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I had GREAT customer service from Dynamite. I had a screw pin strip out in a drive cup, at the time the cups were not available seperately, they are now though. Anyway they sent me a complete replacement set of CVDs, not just the cups which was all I really needed. I have had great luck with my Dynamite products and service. I will continue to use them.

Check to see if there is a number to call for complaints. If anything, make a complaint to both a number and e-mail.

caught in the moment

Your all probally right, that was who I called(Horizon). I forget the name of the person I spoke with, but will try again tommorow. I love those fountain boats, used to have a 33" w/ twin counter rotating 250 yami's. That was with my old man when I was young and used to fish alot of tournaments up and down the east coast. But back to Horizon, I will send them in the parts and see what they say, I think the guy I spoke with was just moody or cocky or something. But it still seems like instead of buying all new skid plates they could just sell the little peice that bolts on, wouldn't ya think? Especially when we pay so much for them. I have to buy for 3 savages, so when parts break it would be nice to have more options, or to be able to fix some of the parts that break. Like I said all it is, the little peice that screws on the skid plates that bolts the plate to the bumper, the little tits that go into the bumper break off wich makes the skid plate no good. Or a screw will snap of in there with a peice of that tit wich makes it almost impossible to get it out. I claimed the blame, but they should seel the parts to allow us to play as rough as we want, and damn sure not tell me that I need not play so hard with my R/C's. It's my RC and I can jump whatever I want, that should not be thier prob. Thanks for the advice, will try again or actually call that 1-800 number that was posted. The # I called was a long distance #, probally sales. :doc:

i called hpi, i think i talked to mark
i told him my backplate came loose and he said something like (pretty close but not exact) "sorry buddy, but we had that fixed so its not under warrenty" i wasn't happy, i think ill send it in anyway

Love the fountains. That's what we're going for once we go to the atlantic city in-water boat show. Contacted a dealer already so he can have one there for us to take out. He can come if he wants, or just trust that we'll bring it back.=devil

We're looking at the 31' Tournament edition with the Twin Supercharged 250 Fourstroke Verado Mercruisers. If they alow the 275's we'll take that instead.

Love fishing. My dad raised us with the love of fishing. Shoot, our rods and reels (each) cost's more than an R/C. That's probably why the wife is not too keen on the idea when my brother, father and I go "window shopping." We always bring back the window and everything else in the store!:egad:

fishing

Yep! I completely undererstand that. I was raised the same way since I was old enough to fish. The only thing is I was an only child and it was hell to clean that boat everyday, most of the time my friends would help(guys and girls), regardless if I went out that day or not. BUt I loved fishing the tournaments, we have won a mess of them(kingfish tournaments), MY oldman has slowed down lately, he does not even have a boat anymore, think he was burned out. We had 2 25' hydrasports (at different times) when they became top dog of offshore boats, then came the fountain witch was top dog. And as a kid at the time it was a blast. Each boat had way more electronics on it that the last one. I remember a funny fishing story when Claton kirby tried to follow us in his super fast Fountain, he stayed right in the sunrize out in the distance, but just close enough to see. Well we put out are downriggers(electric) about 5" underwater and pretened all the rod were out. 20 min. later after Clayton gets everything set-up and fishing strong in the middle of know where , The old man yell's ( get'em up now!!) , with a push of a button everything was up and we were gone. We did'nt even have the down rigger balls on , just the wire hanging in the water with the apperence of trolling just so we could shake this joker who always wanted to follow my dad when they came to florida. AS a kid (10yrs. old ??) that was the funnest part of the whole day, days I'll never forget. I made out with a bunch of memories as a kid fishing, thats why I think it's time to get my own boat. The wife just don't understand. BUT what do you think about the new HYDRASPORTS BAY BOLT 23', it's just a river boat for shrimping and river fishing of course? I seemed to like it stance in the water, it's a very wide boat for the river and much better made that most others. Also thinking about the 24' TRITON bay boat. YOu tell me what you think, just curious? Sorry for da long post:cheers:
