brandnew had it running over weekend.. wont stay running after i take finger off the trigger... per the breakin instuctions it say to leav it at the stock carb settings.....anyone know what this could be.......thanks

Did you check and make sure the HSN/LSN/idle are all at "factory" settings? I've received engines that were a few turns to rich and even one with the HSN screwed all the way in.

New engines are tough sometimes. With them fighting the pinch really bad and all the parts wearing into each other, a low idle is sometimes impossible. Adjust your idle screw to bump up the idle until you think it's ready to be brought back down a bit. Also make sure to check the HSN/LSN are at factory settings. If it still fusses, lean out the LSN a little and it may be able to idle.

Usually though, I have to keep blipping the throttle during the first few tanks to keep them runing.

yeah thats what i was doing with the trigger....the settings are still at the factory set i didnt change them yet..... i got a tank thru it....maybe its best to break it in this way.....thanks for the info guys

got the mill to stay running when i come to a stop... but the problem I'm having now is that it dies when i apply the breaks...any ideas....

dump.........

your idle is to low if it stops when you put the brakes ...take the filter off and look at your idle gap ...should be around 1mm ...and make sure it dos not move when you apply the brakes
