I think the first one is better because it is steel.

If you want some quality CVD's for your truck then get these, http://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MIP1623&click=3 I would stay away from pretty much any thing from Integy they are not known for having any thing high quality and there customer service sucks, The MIP CVD's are also rebuildable.

The only thing that can help Integy stuff is to heat it up so it gets harder. Not all stuff from Integy is bad. Their tools are pretty good.
