Drifter Question

What is a good motor to use in a drift car? I'm assuming I want something sensored. Brushed vs. brushless? Turn or KV rating I should be looking for? Its a 1/10 scale Yokomo Type C clone. I figured Id start with that since according to a friend of mine its 100% compatible with the Yokomo Type C Drift Plus kit. That way I dont have to spend a ton to see if i like it or not and if i do it can theoretically be upgraded into an actual Yokomo kit.

Brushed work pretty well in my opinion. But of course brushless is more exciting. Id say the perfect cheaper setup would be an ezrun 60A and sendored 8.5-10.5....give or take.

What if I have an extra 4000kv Tekin motor laying around....too much or I could get away with using it?

The Tekin website says its a 5.5T 4000kv motor. Its an SC4X 550 can motor. Actually I dont think thats gonna work as I just realized the SC4X motors have a 5mm rotor and the drifter has 48P gearing I believe. I know its possible to buy 5mm bore 48p pinions but they arent very common and I dont really want to go that route. What about a Castle 1410 4 pole 3800kv motor? I have one of those that I could use but seems like a drifter would benefit greatly by having a sensored setup. Maybe I should just buy a cheap Hobbywing sensored 9.5T system in it?

I ended up buying a Tekin Redline 8.5T motor for the drifter. I kinda wanted the 10.5 but I found a good deal on the 8.5. I figure it should be ok. I hope
