Shortening the driveshafts is an option. Did that on my Rustler back '05 racing RC full prep bracket class. Narrowed the rear track 3/4" on each side for a 1 1/2" narrower rear track. Used a band saw to cut each driveshaft half to length then slid them back together again. Narrowed the RR arms a like amount and used Ti turnbuckle struts instead of shocks. Ran the truck like that to 20months, no problems. Think that's what the Drag Slash shafts and RR arms are now?
While about it, fabricated a carbon fiber chassis plate and narrowed a pair of Bandit fronts to pizza cutter o-ring wheels. Used Bandit axles up front. Bandit chassis is a good platform to build on for no-prep, be it stock or modified. -AC
