Ok, I know this isn't the project I'm supposed to be working on, I have no excuse other than this is what I wanted to work on today.

So, obviously I bought a new Hobby Plus CR18P T-Hunter. First thing I did, was popped some Injora aluminum beadlocks, yellow silicone tire inserts, and Obsidian tires, on it. The wheels it comes with just don't fit the style of the truck.

Since the tires were 1.3's I needed to do some trimming on the body and front bumper.

Next up took the stickers off of the plane jane front end.

Made a new grill on the laser at work.

A little paint and clear headlights.

Front End put back together.

That was it for today. Ordered some hex extenders because I am still getting a little wheel rub in tight turns. Hopefully they will be here tomorrow. :)

Selfishly Nicely done! :hehe:

I haven't looked for any of these sized for an itty-bitty, but these make good sim headlights for 1/10

Looks good so far, what will turn up after the extenders?

I have tried those before, but they yellow with age, which is ok for vintage style headlights. ;)

I'm thinking I might try making a canvas style bed cover like old military trucks used. Not sure yet.

A little disappointed, couldn't make the 1.3 tires and wheels work without rubbing so I had to go bck down in size, Injora tires on what I think were rims off od my FMS Atlas 6x6. But the rims suit the look of the T-Hunter. Going to probably add wheel weights.

Here's mine - kinda'... I wanted a brushless T-hunter before they made one, so...
This is a Furitek Fury wagon, but since it's really a CR-18P I figured a T-hunter body would work.
It does, kinda'. Mounted it high enough to clear these monsters without cutting - 74mm DJ Crawlers on the heaviest Treal wheels I could find. It's pretty tall, but with those wheels it thinks it's LCG!

I did cut the crap outta' the Fury body so I could still use that too. Thing's a beast!

If you don’t mind me asking, the 1.3 wheels and tires, were they rubbing very hard or just slightly?
Have you ever tried putting rubber washers on the wheel stud, against the hex and wheel, just to get the wheel out a little further, I have done this to most my rigs to just get that little bit without getting longer shafts. If rubbing hard probably won’t work.

Mine came with very short 1.3 tires that sucked plus the wheels were a light weight plastic. I put some brass 1.0” wheels and large 1.0” tires on it. Perfect fit and just a little rubbing. I’m not aware of any extended hex’s that will work yet.

It was rubbing pretty significantly during full turns, I guess it's the price you pay for having a great turn radius.

I think what you have on it right now looks great. Slap some 1.0 aluminum or even brass beadlocks on it and call it magnifico. 🫶

Look at DJCrawler or Little Guy tires. They have some plumper tires that might get you where you want to be. I think it looks awesome, but I agree some fatter tires might really set that one off.
