You bid on something on eBay, lose, bid on another one, lose, bid on another one, win, bid on another one, yell "OH CRAP!!! I FORGOT I WON!".

I hope I lose again.

I was just trying to buy a backup OWB for my revo and lost the first two. Then I won, forgot I won and bid on another. The sucky thing is that I bid high... so I'll probably win.

BTW, snipers suck. I've been trying to buy a backup revo diff for over a week. I see them sell for $15-$16 periodically, but I keep losing when I bid $17.50... then I finally won one tonight for $14.50 ($20 shipped)... now only if I can remember I won and don't try to bid on another tomorrow...

Been there, done that, have the t-shirt! If you happen to win the second, though, let me know. I've been blowing through OWB's like a hooker at a Naval base, so I'd probably need it!

I'll probably use it myself... It was just kind of funny. I mean I read the email saying I won the other no more than 10 minutes before bidding on another one... stupid short attention span...

Ooooooo look!!!! String!

I try not to go on ebay very often anymore, because every time I get on there I buy something. The worst part is that I don't ever need what I buy. No will power I guess...

Post-it notes work for me; they stick nicely on the face of the monitor. I've been there and done that too... The upside of it is, I'm the only person I know of with two of the software version of Novaks Datalink (for programming the Cyclone and Atom ESCs).

same with me on a savage diff...but i just said forget it I'm going to my hobby shop/...

Mwahaha thats me lol sorry olds. Have you ever considered trying auction sniper? I use it for every big purchase that i need to get. Works great, no spam, no nothing.

I'v been using that for about 3 years and it's great. I use it for bidding and keeping track of what I'm selling.

Heeey . . . . no we don't! :D

Here is why I snipe. Nothing anyone does during the 6 days of a typical auction matters, it's only that last 30 seconds. Over the course of the auction people keep upping the bids, often beyond retail value, and anything you do before that last 30 seconds isn't going to matter. So in reality, although there's a bit of a rush in that last 30 seconds, it's only 30 seconds and not a week of fretting.

Secondly if you're losing auctions think of it this way: what you bid was all it was worth to you. So if someone won it for 50 cents more, power to 'em. Even when sniping, I lay down only what I think it's worth.

So your problem is you're probably trying to lowball it and that is the real source of your frustration, the fact that you bid too low and lost the auction. Even though you'd *LIKE* to get it for $14.99, if it retails for $30, bid $25 minus the shipping. If someone gets it for more than that, then they're the fool, not you. If you get it for less, groovy. :D

Yeah... I know... it's still annoying to get outbid by 50 cents 3 times in a row.

Although, I did win some shock socks once and I felt bad for what I paid. I got 16 savage length socks for $4 ($6 shipped)... they were brand new.

HAHA! I got sniped today! :D But it was like I said, the thing was worth $20, **maybe** $35 on the outside - someone paid $48 for it! Which is another thing, even though ebay proxy bidding shows 50 cents more than your bid, it's likely they could have bid $10 0r $50 0r $100 more than that.

Well when those shock socks wear out, get filthy, or start falling down like a gansta wanna-bee's blue jeans, try this stuff, cost you about three bucks for 20 or 30 changes and comes in almost any color you like. Used it for years and it works GREAT.
