Dont be bad or santa will sell your stuff on EBAY

Bidding is up to almost $830 by a brand new member, joined today as a matter of fact. Is this not too high for these things? Aren't they less than $200 in stores? Now, if I was the suspicious type, I would be willing to guess someone is just out to be high bidder to prevent the sale. People who think this guy is wrong or even someone in the family. It will be interesting to see if and when it sells. It's not showing me the counter right now but last night it was over 12k hits.

Hope this dad gets his point across to his kids. Maybe they will be a little more appreciative for what they have as a family and things like Nintendo will come a distant second to each other.

so flash i have to know did you accept the offer to sell his stuff to pay for it?

i hope not...hell after that i might buy him something :)

how could i accept? honesty means a lot to me and the fact that he was honest tells me that perhaps he is growing up faster than i realized. i am rewarding him by letting him go to basketball practice tomorrow (even though his mom is not too hip on it). the inlaws will be here all day so its a win-win situation. he gets what he wants and i get a two hour break from political and religious conversation with people i dont like.

Plaidfish brings out an important concept 'association'.

What impact will the association of this act have on these kids later in life?

Tel the little brats they're being bad and Santa is Pissed.....He want's a return on this years Christmas so he's makin' a few bucks on the side sellling naughty boys toys on E-bay......
That would kill 2 birds w/ one stone.....fear being bad and E-bay.....

If you're questioning what they can associate the punishment with try this:
The kid tested the Alpha Male of the house by scoffing at an ultimatum that should have been heeded...Instead he immediately rejected the Father's request, If the child were respectful of his Father he would have taken him more seriously....associate this....Don't piss off Pop......Nuff said

LMAO I think Dr. Coco is a typical liberal wacko who has no idea of what real parenting is.

Good for you, Dad.

Well, looks as if bidding has reached $1700 ...can't be worth that, can they?

Wow I missed this thread, but saw the news a couple days ago. I'm glad to see most of you agree,as do I. My kids actually didnt really ask for anything this year, and most years they dont. They have know there is no Santa for years,so they dont have to be good for Santa, but for us. I say it must have been hard for the parents, nto b/c of the kids, but b/c of what all the others would say. Peer pressure in adults id ALMOST as great as kids at times.
