How exactly do you do a back flip do u just kinda wing or is there a technique

Backflips take a lot of practice. But the technique is pretty simple. First thing you need is a good ramp with a pretty decent lip to fling it up in the air. Once you're up in the air basically just peg the throttle. The rotation of the tires will caused the truck to flip. Throttle is the key though. You need to be able to jam on the throttle as fast as you can to get the truck to flip and then let off throttle to even get out so it doesn't over rotate. And you need ton of air to make it work because it's not something that happens quick. You should check places like YouTube see how many videos you can find. There should be a lot of them there to demonstrate how to do it.

If you get the right lip its easy. But it does take a lot of practice and crashes/flips/cartwheels.

I specialize in cartwheels, especially when the Revo goes of the ramp at a funny angle. :D I need a lot more drive time before I attempt the back-flip, I can hit my ramp pretty consistently now but it's not with enough speed for any kind of flip.

lol I bash the poop out of my savage. I bent a tvp the other day, and cracked a rim. Didn't see that rock there. You know when your going WOT and your like YAH! smiling then all of a sudden it goes past you and comes to a dead stop.... My heart sank but it was fine i ran it the rest of the day then bent the tvp back and glued the wheel. Good as new. Gotta love the Savage!

To backflip you want the engine to be winding up while you are airborne, so just before you hit the edge of the ramp let off the throttle and hit WOT while you are in the air. As Candyman noted throttle control is all it takes to keep from over rotating.

Here's a favorite pic of mine from my triple backflippin' days. The more air you can get and the higher your engine can rev, the more backflips you can do. The truck in the pic was my Savage with a Collari .30.

After awhile it gets old but fun nevertheless.

An oldie but goodie.

make sure your hit has a fairly long transition to vertical, that way it's easier to carry speed in to the air. nailing the throttle at the last second over a short, steep hit won't give it enough momentum to transfer into a sweet rotation. another cool bashing skill is steep climbing without flipping over backwards. sounds boring, but it can be a challenge.

i landed the very first one i tryed same with a front flip, some jumps didnt have really any lips just a flat incline, those are more dificult but same concept, u need to roll on it and stay in it till u are almost done rotating then let off and straighten out. i found them to be very easy, the front flips are the ones i had the most trouble with. also it helps to have a 3.3 over a 2.5, my buddies 3.3 will flip off of a nice handicap access curb.

Hey sweetdiesel is that the ramp in Castro Valley, Ca?

The ramp was located in Fremont at the now defunct Twisted Toys home shop. The young man who did the filming is from Castro Valley and in my old age I cannot remember his name.
