the light thingy only works on the older light's the new ones it has to be fast (I mean REALLY fast) so el you most likely have new lights....... ( I know this because my mom is a paramedic)

Well now you know the reason the Capital is on the East Coast as well as the most kickass city in the country NYC! We have BIG sticks in our ass!

Woodie and I are already married by common law under the state of Cali and are allowed to have 16 wives(or husbands), 34 kids, the state pays for it all and California even pays for our drug habbits! U.C.L.A. protects us from anyone who tries to screw with it too! Get it right!

And I'm an Independent Conservative - not Republican. Although I do tilt to the republican views more-so than not.

You guys are lucky. Quit yer bitchin...

I drive to work in the morning. My biggest worry is making the light w/o blocking the intersection...

U.C.L.A. has Trojans... they can protect you...

Hahaha - I love the way ACLU sounds. They need to get A CLUE!

lol

Sorry, it was corny, I know.....

But yeah, ACLU too!

As for getting the lights to change, look up you will see little camera looking tubes above or near the stoplights. These are light sensors designed to turn the lights green. They react to a set frequency of strobing light.

Get a 12v adjustable strobe light. Make a reflective directional hood from a TP tube and tinfoil and mount it on the front of the strobe to direct the light. Find a sensor and adjust the strobe timing until the light changes. Wa-La. Don’t get caught using it in CA the fine is around $5000.00 or so. Interfering with an emergency system.

Next time you see an emergency vehicle running full flag in traffic you will see the strobe on top flashing.

This is information only. In no way am I condoning doing this nor have I ever done it. Again, this is information only.

They outlawed the use of strobes here for a different reason. You can actually throw someone into an epileptic seizure using them. Inf fact, someone almost died because of this years ago. The weird part was, there was an intersection that people just plain would not see because of the speed and being on a dark country road. People couldnt judge the distance. So they put a strobe right into the traffic light itself. Someone was driving, had a seizure because of the light, careened off the road and got pretty damn banged up.

Moral of the story, make sure NOBODY is coming the other way. The risk goes beyond a ticket!

I hate to be the devil's advocate here but can an epileptic go into a seizure by looking at the strobe on a plane or a helicopter? That would be pretty freaky sitting on my next flight and the guy on the outboard seat over the wing sees the strobe and goes into a siezure at 35,000 feet.

Really. Wow, I never knew that one. Now I have another piece of useless trivia I can tell someone. I wonder if the airlines have done away with strobes and gone to the rotating lights? I'll look on the plane when I fly to Panama on the 4th.
