Hey guys, I think I overcharged my Reciever hump pack. I actually I know I did. I left it on for like a day hehe, kinda forgot about it. It was just on a wall charger, but when I plug it in it makes my servos go crazy, everything works fine with AAs. Is there anyway to discharge it without hurting my reciver/servos? Or is it dead?

I've left mine on wall charger for 2 days and it was fine...the wall chargers I believe are peak chargers as well...just very low charge current.....

I use a 1157 tail light bulb, wired so both elements are burning. The owner of a hobby shop turned me on to that idea, and it works very well. All you need to do is get the bulb, and connector with wire, LOL and soldier it together. Plug it in and let it burn until the light goes out, do not leave it plugged in after it is dumped, or it can ruin the pack.
I added this pic of the bulb, sorry about the quality, my digital camera is a cheap one. LOL

DRF has the best way if you don't have a discharge function on your charger.

Dump it until the light is just dim. If you let it go all the way out you can reverse the cells. Depending on your charger, you may have cooked your battery pack. Re-charge it keeping an eye on the heat of the pack. It shouldn't get more then slightly warm close to the end of its charge if its in good shape. If it charges up properly, also keep an eye out as to how long it lasts. It may work fine for a few minutes then crap out.

If it doesn't work properly when your done, let me know and I will hook you up with a good pack.

Well I don't have access to a soldering station. I don't have any connecters like that either...Reason I think its cooked is that it makes my servos go crazy. They still respond to the Tx just all insane and twitchy. The charging connector is like the ones on a 7.2 volt and I think I may be able to discharge it on some radio shack POS.

I tried it three times, worked flawlessly everytime with AAs, twitched like hell with the pack, much worse than metal to metal contact. They move super fast and powerful it seems, I think I need to discharge the pack but I don't have a way how yet...workin on that lol.

Well I let it sit for a couple of days...picked it up today and everything works great... No twitching or anything. Put about 5 tanks through my X-T and had a blast :)
