What bearings would be best to use for the CB? These bearings have different seals. I know the RPM rating is high enough. The old bearings are shot so I am looking for some quality bearings without the high price tag

Is there much difference between rubber sealed vs teflon sealed vs metal shields when it comes to protecting the internals?

Melal sheilds are nice because they are easy to clean and oil but they must be cleaned more often, rubber shielded are good for offroad cause they stay clean better, teflon shielded have the less friction and are nice but are a bit more spendy and have to be cleaned to work good.

For a cb, rubber sealed work really well. The tighter seal helps keep the clutch dust out of the bearing better.

Also, if you have the $, ceramic bearings are good for cb's and engines as well. Quite a bit more pricey, but they are supposed to last longer and are more tolerable to the heat the engine makes.

Are Boca bearings any good?

Bocas are considered one of the best bearings you can buy.. I run all green seals in my TMaxx, tranny & all... I would highly recommend the ceramics for the cb... They will last you through several cb's...

They last pretty long and roll pretty free when they are new.

For what they are, they can be kind of spendy as well.

I ran a full set on my t-maxx and my xxx-nt. The bearings that crapped out often (within 3 gallons or so of neglect) were the axle carrier bearings and diff outdrive bearings.

The axle carrier bearings on the stock t-maxx are a poor design. They are to small for what they do. Most aftermarket axle carriers allow you to run a larger outer diameter bearing that lasts longer.

I totally agree with ya... I switched to the RPM axle carriers with the oversized bearings...
