I'm guessing that a sport tuned pipe is your standard/bashing type pipe and the race tuned is of course for the serious runners but would like further clarification/details. Thanks.
 
The obvious difference is the cost. Race tuned = big bucks.
The main difference in the way the pipes affect your engine is the way they bring on power. For the most part a race tuned pipe will be more geared towards extracting the maximum amount of power from a specific part of the powerband, whereas a sport tuned pipe is an overall general improvement in power across the band.
