i am rebuilding my ofna gt(diff) ,what kind of oil or grease does it take can i sub with any 1/1 car oils .help hobbie stores closed thanks

what was in the diff before grease or oil, are the diffs sealed on the GT.

you can regrease it, with a gear grease somthing like this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXJ61&P=7. you can use oil, more adjustable, I would go the oil route, but it is more pricey. But it is a lot nicer and the buggy feels better with oil. Do a search to find what wt.'s you sould use, I think somthing like 3K 5K 1K are normal. But I am not sure still do a search.

Silicone Diff locking oil for sure. It is a great way to tune how your ride runs. if you like the rear end to be loose give the rear diff a lower weight in oil. Normally you want the center diff to have the higher amount of weight or equal at least. If not you risk having your center diff unloading to either the rear or the front. Do a search on this topic here. It has been discussed many times.
