The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Long Island, NY through Saturday night. Snow will continue to be heavy at times with strong winds creating whiteout conditions. Gusts will range from 20 to 40 mph. With the full moon and the high tide cycle, Long Island will see some coastal flooding and beach erosion as well.
Long Island residents can expect an additional 7-10 inches by Sunday morning, making the total snowfall 12-24 inches.
