Ok I just purchased the Hitec 5645 (digital) for the Savage. Can I still use the stock radio without losing the servo's intended capability.

Yes, just plug it right in. It is a digital servo. That means typically finer control, smoother travel and better centering. But you don't need a special receiver to use it. So just plug it in and you should be fine...

Yeah, CM is right, just plug & play (like a computer). I have the same servo & she kicks:horsecrap . 164 oz/in @ .18sec will turn your tires like a champ.

What tires you pushing?

I know about the "plug and play" but I read a post on another site it stated that if your radio doesn't or can't "read" digital servos then it's wasted :marshall:

LOL...yeah, I remember it.

That 5645 should push the tires around while you're standing on the truck.

I've got one in the box that I haven't installed but I saw that powerhouse pushing wheels on a model at a hobby shop.

It's impressive.

AM... FM... whatever...
