Well over the past few days I have been watching this guy's items on eBay. He had bought like 5 or 6 Slash 4x4's and parted out every one. I wanted to go brushless for my Slash 2x4 so I looked into his auctions that he had for the motor and for just the motor I won one today for $42.99! Brand new on amain they are $74.99 or something like that. U just saved about $30 and he has the ESC on there for a buy it now of $79.99! So total for me would be about $120-$130, that about a saving of $30-40. I just wanted to let you guys know what kind of deals are on there. I still don't know if I want to keep the motor and the esc if I get it though. I may sell it to make my money back and then some to buy a different combo that is better for my slash. Any suggestions? Thanks:D:)

The vxl setups are perfect for the slash's. Id just stick with it on 3s, you wont be disapointed.

oh ok thanks dude, i just need to scrape together like $70 and get the esc, then i need a lipo charger, oh yea and the lipo to charge! haha but it will take some time but in the end my slash will be a beastly 4x4 eater!

I have the VXL motor in my Slash and its great, I run 7-8 cell nimh and 2-3 s lipo all the time depending on where I am running. 10 turn/3500 motors seem to work great with the Slash, I have tried the 5700 for awhile as well but got tired of the high speed wheelies and what not.

yea i want to just get the motor and esc first and then decide on what to do.

3s on that setup is actually pretty hard to drive. Alot of rigs wheely on the road, thats cool, but when you can't keep the front end down on loose dirt, you know its running good!

wow dude on dirt? are you serious, thats just crazy, i plan to race it this summer at one of my local tracks.

Yep, I ran the vxl setup on 3s for like a week and it would wheely on dirt. Not all the time but when it would hook up just right then it would, wich is awesome. Although I have a Mamba and 4600kv in my dads with 3s and proline gladiator tires on the back and it will wheely on almost any surface, its actually kind of annoying if your try to race it but bad as hell when your bashing.

i have the 5700kv sidewinder running 2s 5000 mah and i made a metal skid plate on the rear bumper cause of the wheelies it is fun to play with lol

I thought I had videos of all three battery types and I do...

3s Velineon at the beach

2s in the sandy beach

2s on pavement 44mph

7 cell nimh in the Snow
