Find and change all the clocks in the house to the new time.

I HATE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR!!!
I feel like I'm living in a cave. It seems to be dark all the time. The days are to short, its getting colder and the trees have no leaves on them.

IT SUCKS!!!
6 months of hell.

I am with you on that.
Sucks big time I go to work its dark. I get off work and its dark...So yes it is like liveing in hell for the next 4 to 6 months :hammer:

Actually, hell has fire and whatnot, so it isn't really that dark...

I'll be glad to not be driving into the sun on my way to work now. It will be high enough to not be blinding me. After an hour drive, I get to work and have a headache... makes for a very pissy day.

They need to do away with the time change crap. It has long outlived its intended use. Hawaii does it right and does not conform to turning their clocks.

The only real use for me is the fact I use the time change as a reminder to change out the batts in my smoke detectors. All 8 of them.

We also change the batteries in our smoke detectors this day every year. Theres another 20.00 and an hour out of my Sunday.

I also use the time change to remind me to have my furnance serviced(clean and replace filters)
A lot of home owners do not do this or don't know they have to...

I do the same thing, Zandor. With natural gas expected to jump 50% this winter, last thing I need is the furnace running like crapola!

I do try to change the filter every month or two, makes a difference in how often it kicks on and off.

About the only positive for the time change is that it's easier for me to get my two rugrat kids to bed earlier! Otherwise, means I have to cram a lot of "to-do's" into my weekends because I lose my daylight during the week.

I cheat and buy clocks that set themselves off the Atomic Clock in Colorado. All I have to change is just one clock, and that's a watch I don't wear anymore (since I got my cell phone).

Computer; does itself via the internet
Palm pilot; sync with pc and it's done
Cell; carrier does that
Caller ID's/answering machine; carrier does those too
Dish; done for me
Car stereo; blah, don't even use that function; it still reads 12:00 from the day I put it in
Alarm clock; does itself

Might cost a little more, but when you add up the cost vs the time spent chasing 'em all down and changing 'em, it's worth it.

english translation; i'd rather burn nitro than set clocks.

If I am npot mistaken, (and I always get confused on this) we are on regualr time now. So, if this was summer and we stayed the same all year, nothing has changed.

Ha, just move somewhere they don't change like here in Indy! This is the last time, we will be on DST next year but still no decision on Eastern or Central. Talk about a pain is the ass!

Did anyone here hear about them going 2 hours, It was on late nite news. They got to be kidding.

only clocks i have to set are my alarm clock (my kids is automatic), microwave, and clock in my cars, everything else sets itself.

lol this does suck now, when I get home from collage it is about 5o clock and it gets dark around 6 so running rcs around this time is few and far between
